Late afternoon along Lacanau’s silver coast, where the sand meets the sea in long, unbroken sweeps. Ludwig Favre works the edge of summer light, pale blue skies softening into overcast, the horizon a quiet line between land and water. Figures move sparsely: a lone walker, the occasional umbrella, a lifeguard tower standing sentinel against the vastness. The beach is both stage and void, its emptiness punctuated only by the lapping of waves and the slow passage of time.
