Ludwig Favre photographs downtown Los Angeles in late afternoon, when the towers catch the warm side of the sun and the avenues fall into long shadow. The image belongs to his Los Angeles series, a city famous for being horizontal, photographed at the moment its small vertical center reveals itself. Favre returns to DTLA on each visit, watching the light shift across the same blocks.
