    Ludwig Favre photographs a highway cutting through dense forest at night, the road’s dual lines leading the eye toward an unseen source of light beyond the trees. The image belongs to his series on nocturnal landscapes, where the absence of daylight reveals the geometry of asphalt and shadow without sentiment. Starlight, faint but persistent, filters through the canopy, rendering the scene in shades of blue and green.
