The title is the thesis. Ludwig Favre photographs an ordinary façade, a band of paint, a shadow, a wall a city worker spent an afternoon on, that has, by accident, become beautiful. The image is part of Favre's wider project on the painted city as an unintentional gallery, holding each surface at the level of architectural portrait.
