Urban Portraits and Textures

A series of photographs that anchor themselves to the quiet corners of the city, where light and texture become as much a subject as the people who inhabit them. The walls here are peeling red or weathered brick, their surfaces broken by time and use, while the figures,men in suits, women in patterned scarves, a man leaning against a vintage car,are caught in moments of stillness against these backdrops. The palette is one of muted contrasts: dark mud against sand, soft daylight on striped jerseys, fluorescent glow on industrial machinery. There is a stillness to the images, a sense of place that lingers not just in the architecture but in the way hands rest or coats drape over shoulders.
