    Ludwig Favre captures the geometric precision of the Oceanside coast, where a lifeguard tower stands against the horizontal layers of the Pacific. The structure, marked with a solitary number, anchors a sky of pale peach and gold. A lone figure moves across the wet sand, a small notation of life within the vast, rhythmic swell. This work is part of his series on the California coastline, examining the intersection of human architecture and the daily light of the Pacific coast.
