Ludwig Favre photographs Palm Springs at desert sunrise, the cooler and harder cousin of golden hour. The Mojave keeps its blue late, the mountains stay sharp, the palms become two notes of green in a sky that has not yet warmed. The image is part of Favre's ongoing California desert work, returning regularly to the same ridge before the heat of the day arrives.
