Ludwig Favre returns to Positano on the Amalfi Coast, photographing the village from a new vantage along the cliff. The frame holds the familiar layered geometry, pastel houses spilling toward the water, striped parasols set out like a small typographic line on the sand, and the sea closing the picture in its long Mediterranean blue. The image continues Favre's Italian summer series, a slow catalogue of the same coast revisited at different hours and from different angles, less interested in novelty than in the patient way light moves across stucco and stone.
