Positano, Amalfi Coast, late morning. The sunlight here is bright and direct, carving out the pastel hues of the terraced buildings that cascade down a rocky slope toward the pebble beach below. The beach is lined with orange umbrellas and lounge chairs, some occupied by sunbathers, others empty. The calm, blue water is dotted with small boats, and the rugged cliffs rise in the background, framing the scene. Ludwig Favre returns to these moments of clarity, where the play of light and shadow defines the landscape and its inhabitants.
