Ludwig Favre photographs the Spanish coast at first light, the hour when whitewashed walls take on a faint gold and the dry hills behind them remain in shadow. The image is part of a small Iberian series, made on several trips along the Mediterranean. Favre photographs the country at the times of day it is least crowded, early morning, late afternoon, holding the architecture and the light in the same frame.
