    Ludwig Favre photographs the sprawl of Los Angeles from the Hollywood Hills, where the city’s grid meets the curve of a highway snaking through residential neighborhoods. The image captures the distance between skyscrapers and rooftops, the haze softening edges as if to suggest the weight of urban scale. Part of his ongoing exploration of Southern California’s architecture, favoring high vantage points that reveal both density and solitude.
