Late afternoon at Coney Island, when the sky’s blue deepens but the neon still burns bright against brick and boardwalk. Ludwig Favre works the edge of the rides, striped awnings over food stands, the Ferris wheel’s silhouette against clear air, and the red-and-yellow glow of signs that cut through the soft light of dusk. The photographs accumulate a palette of warm wood, cool metal, and the electric green and yellow of advertising, all framed by the quiet movement of people on benches or sidewalks, or the occasional figure in a red shirt caught in the corner of a sunlit window.
