Ludwig Favre photographs the interior of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche in Berlin, an extraordinary modernist sacred space designed by Egon Eiermann and completed in 1961. The blue stained-glass walls turn the entire room ultramarine. Favre photographs Berlin's sacred architecture as part of his European interior series, holding the frame still until the city outside falls quiet behind the glass.
