Ludwig Favre photographs the Grand Rex on the Boulevard Poissonnière, an Art Deco cinema that opened in 1932 and was, at its inauguration, the largest in Europe. Photographed at night, the illuminated tower and façade still glow in the city's idea of the 1930s. The image belongs to Favre's Paris project on the city's preserved twentieth century.
